Skater board design developed for the company SOTA - Skate of the Art.
The design is based off of a Brazilian poem called Ismália, by Alphonsus Guimaraens. The poem represents the duality between the physical plane and the soul. In it, Ismailia loses herself inside her mind and within this madness she enters a dream world, beyond reality. The poem in itself has this dichotomy, describing both her succumbing to this madness, leaving reason behind, while at the same time finding peace. It Is a poem that is very dear to me and inspires me greatly, so with this design I tried to experiment with what that means to me and create a piece of that dream world.
